On Friday, September 26th, the Early Chamber of Commerce hosted the monthly Lunch & Learn, presented by 2INgage and the Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas. Morenci Locke, Heart Gallery Coordinator; Sadie Bolton, Community Engagement Specialist; and Maggie Brennan, Community Engagement Manager, shared valuable information about fostering, adoption, and volunteer opportunities across the region.
2INgage serves Region 2 and partners with multiple organizations in Brown County to provide resources and support for children in need. Currently, the Heart Gallery of Northwest Texas covers 17 counties and highlights professional portraits of children to help connect them with potential adoptive families. These galleries can be displayed in as little as six inches of space or as much space as a business can offer.
Within their agency, there are 57 children in foster care, but only 33 are currently placed in foster or group homes in Brown County, leaving the remainder to be placed outside the county. There is a significant need for foster families in the area, as only 21 foster homes currently exist in Brown County.
